Deviled Eggs Recipe with Crab Meat

There are a couple of variations which you should enjoy added to this recipe which differs only slightly from our classic deviled eggs yet the primary difference is the addition of crab meat to the ingredients. One of the alternatives is to use melted butter in place of mayonnaise because this can have a way of helping to bring out and emphasize the flavor of the crab meat.

These are quite tasty and can be served anytime of year and for any occasion, maybe something with a seafood theme! Here is a closer look at the ingredients you will need to make these.

6 hard boiled eggs shelled
1/4 cup melted butter (or mayonnaise)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper to taste
Dash of Tabasco sauce (optional)
1/4 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon minced onion
1/4 teaspoon curry powder (optional)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup crab meat (canned drained or fresh)

Cut the chilled and shelled boiled eggs lengthwise into halves. Carefully remove the yolks, using a spoon works well, and set them aside in a bowl. Mash the yolks together with the lemon juice and the butter (or mayonnaise depending on which you prefer) until they are of a fine consistency. Now blend in all of the remaining ingredients including the crab meat which can be canned (drained) or fresh. Refill the egg whites with this mixture slightly rounding the tops. Enjoy!
